Difference between aluminum etching and stainless steel etching

Customers often ask us if we can etch aluminum. Here, let's take you to know the difference between aluminum etching and Stainless steel etching.

Aluminum is relatively active in the process of metal etching, and the chemical reaction will generate a lot of heat, and the reaction is very active. Aluminum fading ink needs nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid, etc. Nitric acid has a strong smell, and hydrofluoric acid has a very high toxicity, which requires very high environmental protection. Compared with aluminum alloy, stainless steel is not easy to oxidize in the air, and ferric chloride is used as the etching solution to corrode the surface of stainless steel. The specific operation process is to form an anti-corrosion layer on the part of stainless steel that needs protection through photosensitive ink. Stainless steel can be etched by immersion etching and spray etching.

Therefore, Zhuolida can etch stainless steel instead of aluminum.
